What a wild ride!
What a wild ride!
Over the last two weeks I showed you new white hat SEO strategies that you can use to get higher rankings in Google.
If you had a chance to finish the video series, great. I have new content for you in today’s email.
If not, no worries. I have the links to all three lessons for you below.
But first:
This Monday (November 14th) I'm opening enrollment for my new premium business training course, SEO That Works 2.0.
SEO That Works is the proven system that's been used by over 1,500 students, in 51 countries, spanning 43+ different industries.
And I recently overhauled the entire program to make it bigger and better than ever.
(Hence the “2.0”. Pretty clever, right? :-D)
I'll send more information about SEO That Works 2.0 on Monday. So keep an eye out for an email from me. Related:GroupBuy SEO Tools
Now, it's time for a quick story:
As I told you last week, my first blog was in the weight loss space.
And if there was one word that I could use to describe how I felt about my SEO efforts back then, it'd be...
...actually, I can't say that word here. This is a PG-rated newsletter.
So let's go with "frustrating".
Here’s what happened next:
After I gave up on my failing weight loss blog, I picked myself up off the canvas and launched another site.
And another.
And another.
After four years of struggling, I FINALLY put the pieces together.
In 2012 I launched a site in what many would consider a "boring" niche.
And despite that, I was able to publish content that ranked on the first page of Google.
In fact, I took that site from a blank Wordpress installation to 10k/month in revenue...in just four months.
Next stop: Backlinko
That's when I thought to myself:
"I'm using white hat SEO strategies that actually work. Why aren't there any blogs or courses teaching this stuff?"
So I decided to create the blog I wanted to read.
And after a few months of procrastination, Backlinko was born.
When I first launched Backlinko, I used a lot of the same strategies that I used for my 10k/month site.
And, like clockwork, my traffic quickly shot up.
(How quickly? Backlinko went from zero to more than 21k visits/month in its first six months)
But I wanted MORE.
So I tested over 100 new SEO and content marketing techniques....
...and incorporated those that worked into my system.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Today, thanks to my unconventional approach to SEO and content marketing, Backlinko brings in 119k unique visitors every month.
And that traffic is a big part of the reason that Backlinko has quickly grown into a 7-figure business (and growing).
The moral of the story?
If you have the right system to follow, you're set.
Without a system, you have to put the pieces together from blog posts, forum threads and YouTube videos.
And if your approach to learning SEO is "reading blog posts", let me wish you good luck (because you're going to need it).
But to take advantage of any system (even a good one)...
...you need to avoid deadly mistakes that can block your progress.
You also need to shift your overall approach towards a new, more effective way of doing things.
And that's what this training was designed to do.
In case you haven't seen all of the training yet, here are the links one more time:
#1: The Secret Behind 119k Visitors Per Month
#2: 24.1% more organic traffic in 2 months (without any new content). Plus: The 4 Fatal SEO Mistakes
#3: How I Used The WASP Method to Rank #1 for “SEO Techniques” (And Generate 245,057 Visitors In The Process)
In this 3-part video series I gave you a "behind the scenes" look at how I generate first page rankings and targeted traffic.
As you saw, a lot of my advice flies in the face of what most so-called SEO "experts" tell you to do. But as you also saw, my approach gets results.
So make sure to review the video series today. It’s all coming down soon.
On that note, keep an eye out for an email from me on Monday about SEO That Works 2.0.
